On April 10, 2023, the State Administration for Market Regulation of China issued a notice on the implementation rules of the State supervision and random inspection of the quality of 90 products including children\'s and infants\' clothing. Local market supervision departments may refer to the implementation when carrying out supervision and random inspection. The rules for the implementation of state supervision and random inspection of the same products issued in the past shall be abolished at the same time.

On 22 March 2023, ECHA opened a public consultation on proposals submitted to ECHA by Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway and Sweden to add restrictions on the manufacturing, marketing and use of PFAS to REACH restrictions, with the aim of giving interested parties an opportunity to express their views on the inclusion of PFAS in REACH restrictions. The public consultation will close on 25 September 2023. The ECHA\'s Risk Assessment Committee (RAC) and Socio-economic Analysis Committee (SEAC) will evaluate the proposed restrictions based on the advisory opinion and form an opinion, with the final decision being made by the European Commission on whether to include PFAS in the restriction article.
On April 4, 2023, the China Quality Certification Center (CQC) issued a notice on the mandatory product certification for electronic products and safety accessories, lighting appliances, household and similar equipment, in accordance with the relevant requirements of the new standard GB 17625.1-2022.The notice shows that the newly released certification basis for electronic products and security accessories will be implemented from July 1, 2024.
