Recently, the China Quality Certification Center (CQC) has revised CQC11-464223-2024 "Safety and Performance Certification Rules for Lithium ion Batteries (Groups) for Electric Bicycles" and its supporting documents, involving product category 142002. The specific content involved is as follows:

Main revisions to certification rules

1. Newly added certification basis standard GB 43854-2024 "Safety Technical Specification for Lithium ion Batteries for Electric Bicycles";

2. Delete the requirement for supervisory sampling;

3. New certification mode: type testing+enterprise quality assurance capability and product consistency inspection (initial factory inspection)+post certification supervision.

Implement revised rule requirements

Enterprises can voluntarily apply for certificate replacement according to their needs in this rule revision. From the date of announcement, applicants may apply for certification in accordance with the revised implementation rules.
