Introduction of Battery CB Certification

The CB system (IEC system for conformity testing and certification of electrical products) is an international system operated by IECEE. The certification bodies of IECEE member countries test the safety performance of electrical products based on the IEC standard. The test certificate is a system recognized by each member of IECEE. As of today, there are 66 certification bodies in 51 countries and more than 270 CB laboratories affiliated to this mutual participation system. The purpose is to reduce the barriers to international trade arising from the need to meet the certification or approval criteria of different countries. IECEE is the abbreviation of the International Electrotechnical Commission's organization for conformity testing and certification of electrical products.

After the company obtains the CB certificate from one of the certification bodies, due to the mutual recognition agreement, it can no longer repeat the test, only report audit and supplementary test or national difference test, can be converted into safety certification of other member countries.

Battery CB certification product range

Portable sealed secondary battery cells and batteries (group) containing alkaline or non-acid electrolyte

IEC62133 test standard:

Secondary cells and batteries (groups) containing alkaline or non-acid electrolytes: safety requirements for portable sealed secondary cells and batteries (groups) used in portable equipment

Battery CB test project

1. Low rate charging

2. Vibration

3. Temperature cycle

4. External short circuit

5. Free fall

6. Hot punch

7. Crush the battery (extruded from the side)

8. Low voltage test

9. Overcharge test

10. Over discharge test

11. High rate charging

CB certification process

1. Fill in the application form;

2. Provide product information;

3. Send samples;

4. Test OK, submit the report to the certification body (NCB);

5. The report is reviewed and a CB certificate is issued after being qualified.

CB certification advantages

In the past, most electrical and electronic products had to meet different regulations when they entered various countries. Obtaining product safety certifications from various countries was a difficult and time-consuming process. But now relying on the CB system, manufacturers can obtain the safety certification of 54 countries at a time, and truly realize one test to meet a variety of testing needs.

Manufacturers who have obtained CB certificates can greatly reduce costs, effort and time when applying for other certifications.

1. Enterprises can easily convert to VDE, GS, GOST-R, SASO, Australian RCM and other certification marks after obtaining the CB test report

2.CB test report can be easily converted to Chinese CCC certification or voluntary certification

3. Obtaining CB certification is conducive to direct recognition by many countries, such as CB certification inspection standards for recognized battery products in Southeast Asian countries: IEC62133:

"Safety Requirements for Cells (Cells) and Battery Packs Containing Alkaline or Non-Acid Electrolytes, Portable Cells and Batteries Manufactured Using the Cells and Portable Applications"

  • Projector ISED IC certification

    Projector ISED IC certification

    ISED IC certification is a necessary condition for market access. The Canadian government stipulates that electronic devices entering the country\'s market must obtain ISED IC certification. As an electronic product, projectors cannot be legally sold in Canada without this certification, which directly affects whether companies can enter this market.

  • 3D printer KC certification

    3D printer KC certification

    KC certification is a mandatory product certification system in South Korea, aimed at ensuring that electronic and electrical products sold in the Korean market comply with relevant regulatory requirements in South Korea.

  • Wireless microphone ANATEL certification

    Wireless microphone ANATEL certification

    ANATEL is the Brazilian National Telecommunications Agency, and its certification is a key entry barrier for products entering the Brazilian market. For wireless microphones, obtaining this certification means that the product meets the local regulatory requirements and technical standards for telecommunications equipment in Brazil, and can avoid risks such as customs detention and market bans due to lack of certification.
