On June 29th, 2024, the State Administration of Market Supervision (National Standardization Administration Committee) issued the Announcement of China\'s National Standards [2024] No.14, and approved the publication of 109 national standards such as Manganese Silicon Alloy and 4 national standard amendments. Among them, the revision No.1 of GB/T 26572-2011 \"Requirements for the Limits of Substances Restricted in Electronic and Electrical Products\" supported by China RoHS will be officially implemented on January 1, 2026.

On June 14th, 2024, the Federal Institute of Telecommunications (IFT) of Mexico announced the launch of the proposed public consultation on the Guidelines for the Use of IFT Labels in Products, Equipment and Devices and the Guidelines for the Certification of Telecommunication or Radio Products, Equipment and Devices (IFT Certification Guidelines have been used since December 2021 and IFT Labeling Guidelines have been used since December 2023).

On June 27th, 2024, ECHA officially announced that one SVHC substance was added to the 31st batch of REACH candidate list. So far, the REACH substances of very high concern list has officially increased to 241 items.

GB/T 7260.1-2023 \"Uninterruptible Power Supply System (UPS) Part 1: Safety Requirements\" (hereinafter referred to as \"the new standard\") was issued on December 28th, 2023, and will be implemented on July 1st, 2024, replacing GB/T 7260.1-2008 and GB/T 7260.4-2008. China Quality Certification Center (CQC) revised the certification rules CQC12-461291-2015 \"Safety and EMC Certification Rules for Uninterruptible Power Supply Equipment\" related to the above standards, corresponding to the subclass number 001017.

According to the latest notice of SASO (Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization), from August 1st, 2024, USB Type-C interface will be adopted for electronic device interfaces and smart phone chargers that are required to enter the Saudi market. Related products must meet the requirements of updated standards Saso IEC 62680-1-2: 2017 and Saso IEC 62680-1-3: 2017 in order to obtain conformity certificates.

On May 30, 2024, the governor of Vermont, USA, signed the SB 25 Act to control the use of perfluoro and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), bisphenol substances and phthalates. The bill will take effect on July 1, 2024 and will be implemented in stages from that date.

On June 7th, 2024, ECHA announced a new SVHC intentional substance O,O,O- triphenylphosphorothioate. ECHA plans to launch a public comment on this substance in August, 2024. During the public comment, all stakeholders can submit feedback to ECHA, and ECHA will submit feedback to the public.

On May 23rd, 2023, the new standard GB 21520-2023 \"Limited Value and Grade of Energy Efficiency of Display\" (hereinafter referred to as the \"new standard\") was released, and will be officially implemented on June 1st, 2024, replacing the original GB 21520-2015 standard (hereinafter referred to as the \"old standard\").
