Indonesian SDPPI issues new telecom certification regulations and SAR control standards

Recently, the General Administration of Market Supervision (National Standards Committee) issued the mandatory national standard GB 43854—2024 \"Technical Specification for Safety of Lithium-ion Batteries for Electric Bicycles\" (hereinafter referred to as \"Technical Specification\"), which is under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and will be officially implemented on November 1, 2024.

On March 29th, 2024, the Ministry of Transport issued the announcement of Amendment No.1 of six transportation industry standards (namely JT/T 617-2018 Road Transport Rules for Dangerous Goods Part 1: General Rules).

On April 17th, 2024, the National Telecommunication Bureau of Brazil (ANATEL) issued a new version of the test standard Act 5155/2024 for mobile phone chargers, and at the same time abolished Act 5159 issued in 2022, and another version of the old regulation Act 3481/2019 will be revoked on October 14th, 2024. The new version of Act 5155 will take effect from now on and will be enforced after October 14, 2024.

On April 16th, 2024, American FCC issued the first edition of KDB 364244 D01 standard, and the new KDB364244D01mmeas 15.255 RADARS V01 is a guiding procedure for the revised 15.255 radar equipment certification.

Recently, a large number of sellers have received compliance requests from Amazon in the background. These sellers mainly sell products involving button cell. According to Amazon\'s requirements, all consumer products that contain button cell or coin batteries and fall within the scope of 16 CFR Part 1263 have been tested and meet the following regulations, standards and requirements. The legal standard came into effect on October 23, 2023.

On March 29th, 2024, the Ministry of Information and Communication (MIC) of Vietnam officially issued the new Regulation 02/2024/TT-BTTTT, which outlined the product categories of Vietnam\'s type certification/self-conformity declaration. Regulation 02/2024/TT-BTTT will take effect on May 15th, 2024, and will replace the old regulation 04/2023/TT-BTTT.

On April 1st, 2024, Indian Telecommunication Engineering Center (TEC) issued an announcement to extend the mandatory implementation date of 10 products in the third and fourth phases of MTCTE (Compulsory Testing and Certification of Telecommunication Equipment) for four months, from April 1st, 2024 to August 1st, 2024.
