On July 27th, 2024, Environment Canada issued a Notice according to Article 71(1)(b) of the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, 1999. The circular requires relevant Canadian enterprises to provide online information on perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) produced, imported or used as individual substances, mixtures or articles in the calendar year of 2023 before January 29, 2025, among which 312 PFAS compounds are involved.
On August 30th, 2024, ECHA announced the public comments on six potential substances of very high concern (SVHCs), and the public comments will end on October 14th, 2024, during which all stakeholders can submit comments to ECHA. ECHA will review the feedback submitted by the public. If these six substances pass the review, they will be added to the official candidate list of SVHC and become the 32nd batch of SVHC substances.

On September 3, 2021, the European Electrotechnical Standardization Committee issued the first revised version of the standard EN 62133-2:2017, which is equivalent to IEC 62133-2:2017/AMD1:2021 issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission.
