On April 18th, 2023, the European Commission officially issued the new regulation (EU) 2023/826 on standby power consumption of ErP(Energy-Related Products) to reduce the energy consumption of electrical equipment in "off" or "standby" mode. At the same time, the ecological design directive (EC) No.1275/2008 for household and office electrical and electronic equipment and the ecological design directive (EC) No.107/2009 for simple set-top boxes were abolished. The new directive came into effect on May 9, 2023 and will be enforced on May 9, 2025.
The main changes in the new regulations include:

2. Abolish the old EU standby power consumption regulation (EC)1275/2008 and the simple set-top box ecological design requirement regulation (EC) 107/2009;
3. The lower limit of the limit in standby and off mode remains at 0.50W, and the lower limit of the limit in off mode has been raised to 0.30 W since May 9, 2027;
4. The standby power consumption limit of equipment with display screen cannot exceed 0.80W W.. Drum dryer can't exceed 1.00W;;
5. The standby power consumption of network connection products with HiNA function cannot exceed 8.00W, and the standby power consumption without HiNA function cannot exceed 2.00 W;
6. Range of amplified products:
(1) Delete the exemption for equipment powered by low-voltage external power supply in the old regulations;
(2) Remove washing machines and dishwashers, which are separately defined in the regulations of (EU)2019/2023 and (EU) 2019/2022;
