New regulations in Vietnam: 6GHz band is open, wireless charging band is widened, and will take effect on May 15, 2025!

On March 31, 2025, the Ministry of Science and Technology (MST) of Vietnam issued Announcement No. 01/2025/TT-BKHCN, which revised and supplemented Announcement No. 08/2021/TT-BTTTT issued on October 14, 2021, and will take effect on May 15, 2025.

The main contents of this revision are as follows

★ Open the 6GHz band (5925-6425 MHz) to WLAN/RLAN devices;

★ Widen the original wireless charging band of 326.5kHz-340kHz to 315kHz-400kHz.

The affected products are:

◆ Wireless local area network (WLAN), regional area network (RLAN) equipment;

◆ Consumer electronics: wireless fast charging of mobile phones and headphones;

◆ Industrial Internet of Things: wireless power supply of sensors and AGV robots;

◆ Low-power devices: medical wearables, smart security.
