Attention! ANATEL of Brazil updated the certification requirements for "Wi-Fi 7 devices"

Author:中认联科 time:2024-11-20 Ctr:907

With the approval of IEEE for the draft standard of 802.11be, ANATEL of Brazil has officially authorized the use of the name of 802.11be on the product compliance certificate. This update means that devices using Wi-Fi 7/802.11be technology can now clearly list this name on the certificate of conformity.

Previously, although ANATEL allowed testing of Wi-Fi 7 products, it was not allowed to directly use the names of "Wi-Fi 7" or "802.11be" in the certification documents. At that time, the detection mechanism was required to use terms such as "modulation+broadband" (for example, OFDMA 320MHz) to describe the technology. Now, manufacturers can clearly mark "802.11be", so as to better integrate with international standards, simplify the market access process, provide more flexibility for equipment manufacturers, and make products more in line with market demand.

The differences among Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7 are as follows
