On April 1st, 2024, Indian Telecommunication Engineering Center (TEC) issued an announcement to extend the mandatory implementation date of 10 products in the third and fourth phases of MTCTE (Compulsory Testing and Certification of Telecommunication Equipment) for four months, from April 1st, 2024 to August 1st, 2024.

The 10 products whose mandatory implementation date is extended to August 1, 2024 are as follows:

★ Cellular network base station

★ Smart meter

★ SIM

★ Mobile radio relay system

★ VHF UHF radio system equipment

★ PTP PMP microwave fixed radio system

★ LAN switch

★ Router

★ IP security equipment

★ Satellite communication equipment

The deadline for the following products to receive ILAC-accredited laboratory test reports from non-border sharing countries was extended from March 31st, 2024 to July 31st, 2024, with an extension of 4 months:

★ Cellular network base station

★ SIM

★ VHF UHF radio system equipment

★ Satellite communication equipment
