Information Express | UK updates POPs regulations to include PFHxS, its salts and related substances in the control scope

Author:中认联科 time:2023-12-25 Ctr:1373

On November 15th, 2023, the UK issued the regulation UK S.I. 2023/1217, which updated the control scope of POPs regulations, and perfluorohexane sulfonic acid (PFHxS), its salts and related substances were included in the control scope, with the effective date of November 16th, 2023.

After Brexit, the UK still follows the relevant control requirements of EU POPs Regulation (EU) 2019/1021. This update is consistent with the EU's control requirements for updating PFHxS and its salts and related substances in August this year. This regulation applies to Great Britain (including England, Scotland and Wales), and the specific restrictions are as follows:

Warm tips

The continuous updating of laws and regulations on persistent organic pollutants means that countries are more and more strict in controlling persistent organic pollutants. ZRLK suggested that relevant enterprises should always pay attention to the development of British POPs regulations and investigate the compliance of substances involved in the upstream and downstream of the supply chain as early as possible, so as to ensure that products put into the British market meet the control requirements of POPs regulations and avoid unnecessary trade losses. Our company has a wide range of testing fields and a professional and efficient service team, which can help enterprises evaluate the special chemicals regulated in products and make your products meet the corresponding national and international organization standards.
