Pay attention! Vietnam's MIC has released a new draft regulation on compulsory product certification

The Ministry of Telecommunications of Vietnam (MIC) on Feb 8 released draft regulations on compulsory certification, which will replace 02/2022/TT-BTTTT issued in May last year. The new draft is currently in the public domain and is expected to be released in the second quarter.

Mandatory date: July 1, 2023.

Compared with the old version 02/2022/TT-BTTTT, the new version has the following major changes:

1. Added and updated relevant technical specifications/standards

2. RFID/NFC 13.56MHz should be removed from Appendix I, and only DoC (Appendix II) should be applied for such products.

Reminder: After the new draft takes effect, if the standards listed in the old certificate have been replaced by the new standard according to the catalog, the product needs to update the MIC certificate in time after testing according to the new standard. If there are additional safety regulations and EMC requirements, relevant products need to supplement the test and submit the certificate.
