Author:中认联科 time:2022-09-27 Ctr:723

On August 29, 2022, the IECEE International Electrotechnical Commission officially released three battery CTL resolutions through its official website. The three resolutions were proposed by the CB Testing Laboratory (CBTL), and formed a provisional resolution (PDSH) after the exchange and discussion of the CTL ETF13 expert group. After that, the provisional resolution was transformed into a formal resolution process and passed by a vote at the CTL2022 plenary session.

The three battery resolutions released this time are as follows:

CTL Resolution 1 No. DSH 2161 (Production time of cell samples)

Applicable products: lithium-ion battery packs, nickel-metal hydride battery packs, nickel-cadmium battery packs;

Battery application: portable products;

Corresponding standards: IEC 62133:2012, IEC 62133-1:2017, IEC 62133-2:2017;

Resolution content: The manufacturing period of the cells and battery test samples used in the test should not exceed 6 months;

Execution time: effective immediately.

CTL Resolution 2 No. DSH 2182 (Charging cut-off current during the second charging process)

Applicable products: lithium ion battery;

Battery application: portable products;

Corresponding standards: IEC 62133-2:2017, IEC62133-2:2017+AMD1:2021;

Resolution content: When preprocessing the test items in the second charging procedure in Chapter 7.1.2, the charging cut-off current is required to be 0.05It A. When the cell manufacturer defines the charging cut-off current to be different from 0.05ItA, 0.05It A should be used as the cut-off current to set the charging condition;

Execution time: effective immediately.

CTL Resolution 3 No. DSH 1037A

Applicable products: lithium-ion batteries, nickel-hydrogen battery packs, nickel-cadmium battery packs;

Battery applications: portable products, industrial and energy storage products and power vehicles;

Corresponding standards: IEC 62133:2002, IEC 62133:2012, IEC 62133-1:2017, IEC 62133-2:2017, IEC 62619:2017, IEC 62660-3:2016;

Resolution content: Sampling principles for battery series testing;

Execution time: effective immediately.
