On September 2, 2022, Oeko-Institut published the final evaluation report of the EU RoHS Directive (2011/65/EU) consulting project Pack 25 on its official website. Two exemptions from DEHP in polyvinyl chloride have been evaluated and recommendations are given. The EU will publish the final exemption update directive in the Official Journal (EUOJ) based on the recommendations of the evaluation report.

EU RoHS Directive (2011/65/EU) Annex IV is mainly aimed at the exemption of category 8 (medical devices, including in vitro diagnostic medical devices) and category 9 (monitoring and control equipment, including industrial monitoring and control equipment), ZRLK recommends related Enterprises should improve the risk awareness of their products, pay attention to the update of the exemption clauses of the EU RoHS Directive in real time, and arrange production plans and material substitution issues reasonably, so as to avoid compliance problems caused by the expiration of exemptions for products exported to Europe.
