On June 30, 2021, Saudi Arabia's SASO made the following updates on the mandatory implementation of [Standard SASO IEC 62368-1: 2020].

The implementation date of SASO IEC 62368-1:2020 (IEC 62368-1:2017) standard is updated as follows:

◆ The implementation date of SASO IEC 62368-1:2020 is postponed to January 1, 2023, which means that only IEC 62368-1 third edition CB certificate and test report (IECEE 62368- 1: 2018).

◆ SASO was originally scheduled to no longer accept IEC 62368-1:2014 second edition CB report and CB certificate from July 1, 2021. Because of the extension of SASO IEC 62368-1:2020, IEC 62368-1:2020 will be extended before December 30, 2022. The CB certificate and test report of 62368-1:2014 second edition can still be used for SIRC certification application.
