Wireless products exported to Japan need to meet the requirements of Japan's "Radio Law", and type approval (ie, technical regulatory compliance certification) is required for designated radio equipment. The purchase and use of radio equipment that is not certified by TELEC is risky, and it may be harmful if it involves illegal use.
Introduction to TELEC certification
TELEC certification is also called MIC certification. TELEC (Telecom Engineering Center) is the main registered certification body for conformity certification of radio equipment in Japan, MIC (Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications) is the government agency that regulates radio frequency equipment in Japan, and MIC is the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications of Japan, responsible for compiling regulations and standards. TELEC is only one of the designated issuing agencies for MIC, so it is called TELEC certification or MIC certification.
TELEC certification is mandatory, and the certification body is a registered certification body recognized by MIC in the scope of designated radio equipment.
TELEC certification standard
TELEC certified technical standards refer to the classification and technical standards of designated radio equipment listed in the technical regulatory compliance certification system on it. It is worth noting that if there are differences between these technical standards and the technical requirements of the Radio Regulatory Commission Rules No. 18, the Radio Regulatory Commission Rules No. 18 shall prevail.
