Household appliances (HEA), also known as civil electrical appliances and daily electrical appliances, mainly refer to various electrical and electronic appliances used in homes and similar places. There are various kinds of household appliances, and they are a must-have for every household. But in general, if our common home appliances want to be put on the market smoothly, it is necessary to apply for EMC electromagnetic compatibility testing and certification.
What is EMC testing?
EMC testing is also called electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). The full name is Electro Magnetic Compatibility, which refers to the comprehensive evaluation of the electromagnetic field interference (EMI) and anti-interference ability (EMS) of electronic products. It is one of the important indicators of product quality. The measurement of electromagnetic compatibility consists of a test site and a test instrument. The purpose of EMC testing is to detect the influence of electromagnetic radiation generated by electrical products on the human body, the public power grid and other electrical products that work normally.
EMC is a very important quality index. It is not only related to the working reliability and safety of the product itself, but also may affect the normal operation of other equipment and systems, and is related to the protection of the electromagnetic environment. The European Community government stipulates that since January 1, 1996, all electrical and electronic products must pass EMC certification and be affixed with the CE mark before they can be sold on the European Community market.
