Since 2.4GHz is a license-free ISM frequency band, it is also the most widely used and crowded frequency range. Typical 2.4GHz products include Bluetooth, WIFI, cordless phones, wireless MIC, etc. . Such products apply for the specific tests required by Japan's MIC (also called Radio Law or TELEC) certification.

MIC requirements are mandatory certification requirements formulated by Japan for wireless products, which are similar to domestic type approval (SRRC) requirements for wireless products. The superior law it follows is the Japanese radio law. The specific test specifications follow the Japanese Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) Announcement No. 88 Regulations, and the update and maintenance of the test specifications are also carried out by the Japanese Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications.

The specific standard for 2.4GHz Bluetooth products is MIC No.88 Annex 43. The following specific test items that should be considered based on the standard are listed as follows:

1. Frequency Error Measurement (FrequencyError Measurement);

2. Coupling bandwidth/carrier frequency bandwidth test (Occupied Bandwidth and Spread-spectrum Bandwidth / Factor);

3. Unwanted Emission Intensity Measurement;

4. Antenna Power Error Measurement (AntennaPower Error Measurement);

5. Receiver spurious disturbance test (Limitation of Collateral Emission of Receiver Measurement);

6. EIRP antenna power test (Transmission Antenna Gain (EIRP Antenna Power) Measurement);

7. 3dB lobe bandwidth test (TransmissionRadiation Angle Width 3dB Bandwidth Measurement);

8. Duty Cycle Measurement (DutyCycle Measurement);

9. Occupation time test (retentiontime);

10. Interference protection and carrier sense (RadioInterference Prevention Capability & Carrier Sense Capability Measurement).

In the Japanese MIC certification for the 2.4G requirements of WIFI, the specific test items are actually similar to those of Bluetooth products, but it should be pointed out that the 14 channels (Channel14: 2471~2497MHz) for 2.4GHz WiFi products, in the Japanese TELEC certification are Need to use Annex 44 standards for testing and issuing reports separately.
